A wonderful book, the plot is thrilling and exciting.
The story plays on all the personal strings of every reader and sharpens the fear for our old aged relatives, and the constant conflict between dealing with our everyday routine and the desire to spend quality time with those family members. It is also fascinating to get an in-depth view to the lives of the foreign workers who sacrifice so much for a better future for their family. The book is written in a flowing and enjoyable way, that you can't stop reading. I highly recommend!
This is an exceptionally great book that I finished in one fun weekend.
It is an engaging story of colorful Israeli family characters that I, personally, know and love.
Yet much more important, the work that Tovit Nizer did in telling an accurate story of population of foreign women workers in Tel Aviv makes this novel a 'must read.'
The story interweaves beautifully with the Israeli story and yet runs in a parallel world. It is inspiring and a true eye opener.
It reminds us all how your story is preset by the sky you are born under and at the same time questions which one is actually bluer.

The book is written in a flowing and light manner but contains great depth and is stimulating to observe. From the moment I had time to (really) read the book, not a few hours had passed and I had already finished it with pure pleasure.
Tovit really managed to give us a real and rare glimpse into the lives of men and women who live with us and we only know them from the stories of demonstrations in Shapira and the immigration police - the foreign caretakers, in the case of this book from the Philippines. And perhaps the most important reason - it really makes us think when was the last time we saw grandfather.
It's a good story because it is authentic, touches our lives and talks about loneliness in such a non-oppressive way, a really fun read.
I really, really recommend this book, it will bring you closer to the family.
It's also a great gift for those who have had a foreign therapist join their lives, and also for those who didn't then support local art and want to buy. And go visit grandfather.
